Teenage Pregnancy | Parenting Support
Teenage Pregnancy can create a lot of questions, concerns, and fear
Would I be a good parent?
Could I support a child?
Will I have to parent alone?
Teenage pregnancy is prevalent in the United States. According to the CDC, there are around 330,000 babies born to women aged 15-19. There are also added health risks associated with teenage pregnancy because they do not seek proper prenatal care. If you are pregnant, there are several precautions you should immediately take:
- Begin taking prenatal vitamins
- Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, or using drugs
- Find parenting support from a pregnancy center such as the Pregnancy Resource Center of Lee County
